With fall in the air, there are a lot of games to play. Most of these are outdoor games that really couldn't be enjoyed very much in the heat of the summer. Now that it's colder outside, there are a lot of things that you can do. One idea for a fun fall game to play is the bean bag toss. This game, also called the bean bag game or the Cornhole game, is very easy to play and the rules are not complicated. This is a great game for young and old alike, and people of all ages and ability levels. Not everyone likes the game, but a lot of people enjoy it. They find that it's fun, but also that it helps to bring families and friends closer together. Some people wouldn't venture to do this, but a lot of people who have basic woodworking skills and basic tools can make their own board quite easily. The bags can be sewn by hand, so no sewing machine is needed for them.

You'll need wood for the board, cloth and stuffing for the bean bags, and most of all you'll need good instructions from a reputable source. You can tell pretty easily whether you have those tools available and whether you know how to use them. If you're unsure, you might want to practice using them a bit, maybe on a piece of wood that you won't need for the actual game board.
The sewing of the bags is the easiest part. The cloth just needs to be cut to the right dimensions and then sewn up most of the way while it's inside out. Then you turn it right-side out, put your stuffing in it, and finish sewing it up by hand. Be sure to make neat, even, tight stitches so your bean bag both looks good and keeps its stuffing on the inside. If that sounds like too much work you can build a board and buy the bean bags, buy the board and make the bags, or buy the entire thing. Either way, the bean bag game offers hours of fun when the weather is nice.
